Feedback from traders who attended our workshops, volume clinics, and private chart sessions. Names shortened with permission.

The foundations workshop changed how I mark up charts before the open. I used to highlight engulfing patterns in green without looking at volume. James walked us through three cases where the engulfing looked perfect but volume was declining — I would have entered all three. My journal entries are longer now, but I skip more setups, which suits me.

Booked a private review with five FTSE mid-cap charts I had been struggling with. We spent the first twenty minutes on a single stock where I had misread a volume dry-up as accumulation. Direct and useful. I wish we had covered commodities too, but that was outside what I brought.
— David R., part-time trader, Ipswich — Private Chart Review, January 2025
The volume clinic was dense — three hours felt short for the material. Still, the section on climactic bars at round numbers alone justified the fee. I have returned to the practice group twice since.
— Priya K., FX trader, Cambridge — Volume Context Clinic, November 2024
My partner bought me the workshop as a birthday gift. I was sceptical of in-person training — most of what I had seen online was recycled. The printed workbook is genuinely good; I still refer to the annotated examples when reviewing my weekend scans.

Extended case: rebuilding a pre-market routine

Sarah L., a part-time trader from Bury St Edmunds, attended the foundations workshop in June 2024 after six months of inconsistent results on daily charts. Her issue was not pattern recognition — she could identify hammers and doji — but she entered on shape alone.

During the workshop she worked through Exercise 12 in the workbook: a hammer at prior support on a FTSE 250 stock with volume 40% below the twenty-day average. The group debated whether the hammer warranted a long entry. Consensus: wait for confirmation or skip. Sarah later reported that the stock bounced briefly then broke support over the following week — the hammer without volume would have stopped her out.

She now runs a five-step checklist before any entry: pattern, volume relative to average, proximity to level, broader trend context, and position size. She attended two follow-up practice groups and booked one private review in October 2024 to go through her watchlist methodology.
